Over the years, Toyota has made a habit of offering hybrid editions for some of its most popular models, such as the Avalon Hybrid, Camry Hybrid and RAV4 hybrid. But for U.S. drivers, there’s never been a Toyota Corolla Hybrid, despite the Toyota Corolla being one of Toyota’s most popular models ever and driver demand being there for it. That is, until now!

That’s right, Toyota recently announced that for the first time ever, U.S. drivers will get the chance to drive a hybrid version of the Toyota Corolla when the 2020 Toyota Corolla Hybrid debuts! It’s the first-ever Corolla Hybrid in the U.S. and drivers everywhere are already buzzing to get their hands on it!
The 2020 Toyota Corolla Hybrid will feature an all-new dynamic design that sets itself apart from its gasoline brother, while still maintaining the traditional Corolla look, and will offer the new-generation Hybrid Synergy Drive! What that means is, although there aren’t any officially measurements as of yet, Toyota is projecting the 2020 Toyota Corolla hybrid to get a combined fuel economy of more than 50 mpg!
When Will the 2020 Toyota Corolla Hybrid Be Available?
As you can expect, drivers are already eager to get their hands on the brand-new Toyota Corolla Hybrid, but how long will we have to wait to take it for a spin ourselves?
Unfortunately, it’s going to be a while yet before the 2020 Toyota Corolla is available in any U.S. Toyota dealerships. There’s no official release date yet but Toyota has said that the new model will go on sale in the spring of 2019. Still some time away but it gives us more time to learn about the new hybrid!
