The 2020 Toyota 86 comes in three trims, which include the 86, 86 GT and the new 86 Hakone Edition. Toyota dedicated the 86 Hakone Edition to a world-renowned driving road in Japan called Hakone Turnpike. Engine & Performance

The Toyota 86 is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder Horizontally Opposed Engine with DOHC 16-Valve cylinder Heads and Dual Variable Valve Timing. The engine produces 205 horsepower and 156 pound-feet of torque.

Transmission 

The 86 uses a short-throw six-speed manual transmission with ball-bearing mounted shift linkage and Reverse gear lockout protection. Toyota’s sports car also uses a rear-wheel drive configuration.

 

Technology

The Toyota 86 is loaded with innovative technology. It has a standard 7.0-inch touchscreen display with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The 86 GT and 86 Hakone Edition use a standard Smart Key System

The 2020 Toyota 86 uses the Star Safety System™ with Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, Anti-lock Brake System, Electronic Brake-force Distribution and Smart Stop Technology.

Design

The 86 sports car has an athletic exterior with eight available exterior color options. The 86 has LED daytime running lights, fog lights, and rear combination lights. On the interior, there are sport bucket seats with “86” embroidered into them.
